That about sums up our recent trip to Florida . . . we had absolutely nothing we had to do and all day to do it! That is our kind of vacation! We spent as much time as we could at the beach or in the pool. It was so nice to have a break from the cold and dreariness of Michigan and spend some time in the warm Florida sun!

| Every trip to the beach brought a new sand castle creation! This one was created by Daddy and Rylee. We called this our Camelot of Sand! It was funny to see people stopping on the beach to take pictures! Another favorite past time at the beach was collecting shells for Grama's big vase. It turned out to be a great science lesson for us too as we learned about the different kinds of shells and the animals that once lived in them!   Aren't they so cute! It was pretty funny, though, that neither of the boys would let us bury them any farther! It was even funnier when they "busted out like karate ninjas!" |
Ice cream always tastes better on the beach! :)
When it was "cold" in Florida (you know, maybe only 68 degrees or so :)), we headed down to the pool. The pool water was never cooler than 88 degrees! Bath water - now that's mommy's kind of pool!
The kids had an absolute blast at the pool! Haydn and Rylee loved to be thrown as high as possible into the air, demonstrating their most "awesome" trick on their way down! McKay wasn't quite ready for the water olympics yet, but he did learn how to hold his breath and go under water. He loved to hang on the side of the pool and "walk" all the way around and get back rides from dad and mom.
